The Lone Star Reading List is published yearly by the Texas Library Association. The list is developed by public and school librarians from the Young Adult Round Table. The purpose of the list is to encourage students in grades 6, 7, or 8 to explore a variety of current books.

Texas Star Reading Program
Read 10 or more books from the current Â鶹¹ÙÍø Texas Star reading list and complete 10 book reviews by the end of April and you will be eligible to attend the Texas Star Celebration :
-enjoy a catered luncheon. 
-hear a Texas Star author speak. 
-and receive an autographed book.
Students who read and review 18 or more books will get to meet the author in person!
