Dear North Richland Middle School families, 

I am proud of the students and parents at North Richland Middle School who understand the important role our culture of safety and security plays in helping maintain a safe campus. Because we all take this seriously, North Richland is a safe place to learn. 

Last night and again this morning, I received an anonymous report through our Anonymous Alert system of a threat made by a student following Wednesday’s pickleball game between the sixth- and seventh-grade students. Our SRO and campus administration investigated the reports and have been in communication with the parents of the student that made the threat. The student in question does not have access to any weapons. However, the District and law enforcement take all threats seriously and will take appropriate disciplinary action. 

The thought of anything harmful happening on our campus is disturbing. You are being notified about this in order to provide accurate information and to prevent misinformation from being circulated.  

Â鶹¹ÙÍø has established all campuses as “Drug Free and Gun Free” zones. Once again, the District looks upon these situations very seriously and will take appropriate action based on the law and Â鶹¹ÙÍø's Student Code of Conduct. The safety of students and staff is my utmost priority, and we wish to reassure you that North Richland Middle School remains a safe and nurturing environment. Please continue to encourage your student to tell a teacher or an administrator if he/she sees or hears something that is not right. Estimadas familias de North Richland Middle School, 

Estamos orgullosos del personal y los estudiantes de North Richland Middle School que entienden el importante papel que nuestra cultura de protección y seguridad juega en ayudar a mantener un plantel seguro. Porque todos tomamos esto en serio, North Richland es un lugar seguro para aprender. 

Anoche y de nuevo esta mañana, recibí un informe anónimo a través de nuestros sistemas de Alertas Anónimas de una amenaza hecha por un estudiante después del partido de pickleball el miércoles entre los estudiantes de sexto y séptimo grado. Nuestro oficial SRO y la administración del plantel investigaron los informes y han estado en comunicación con los padres del estudiante que hizo la amenaza. El estudiante en cuestión no tiene acceso a ningún arma. Sin embargo, el Distrito y las fuerzas del orden se toman en serio todas las amenazas y tomarán las medidas disciplinarias oportunas. 

La idea de cualquier cosa dañina en nuestro plantel es inquietante. Se le notifica para proporcionarle información precisa y evitar que circule información errónea. 

Â鶹¹ÙÍø ha establecido todos los planteles como zonas "Libres de Drogas y Armas". El Distrito considera estas situaciones muy seriamente y ha tomado la acción más fuerte posible permitida por la ley. La seguridad de los estudiantes y el personal es mi máxima prioridad, y queremos asegurarles que North Richland Middle School sigue siendo un ambiente seguro y enriquecedor. Por favor, siga animando a su estudiante a decirle a un maestro o un administrador si él / ella ve o escucha algo que no está bien.
