For the 2024 tax year, Birdville ISD’s Board of Trustees adopted a Maintenance & Operations tax rate of $0.7892 and a Debt Service tax rate of $0.4139, which is a total tax rate of $1.2031. ($.07 less than the tax rate for 2023)
Due to lower interest rates, increases in valuation and prudent financial decisions by the District, the debt service tax rate is 1.35 cents less than what was told to voters in 2014. In addition, since 2014, the Board has approved prepayment of more than $18.465 million of bond principal saving taxpayers more than $11.8 million in interest payments.
