    Welcome to the General Music Class Information Site.
    Kindergarten is learning high and low pitch, fast and slow, and about the beat in music.
    First grade is learning about beat and rhythm and moving to some really fun songs. 
    Second grade is learning about rhythm, how to read music, and moving to some old folk songs. 
    Third grade is learning to read and write music on the staff and how to sing in rounds.  We will be watching the Nutcracker from our classroom. 
    Fourth grade is learning the musical alphabet and interesting facts about composers from the Baroque and Classical periods.  We will be watching the Fort Worth Opera from our classroom.
    Fifth grade is learning about the four instrument families and amazing facts about composers from the Romantic and Modern eras, and will have an instrument project in February that coordinates with Black History Month.  We will also be watching the Fort Worth Symphony play from our classroom.
