Attendance Requirements (Requisitos de las asistencia)

  • 4 absences max per quarter (no mas de 4 por semestre)
  • 3 tardies equal an absence
  • Over 15 minutes tardy is an absence for that period
  • You must call the school when you are going to be absent
  • Bring a doctor’s note

Academics (Académicas)

  • Attendance and completing assignments is critical to your success at SHS. A 70% or higher is a passing grade. If at any time you fall below 70%, speak with your teachers to receive tutoring or to obtain grade repair work in order to reach a passing grade.

Drugs, alcohol, vaping, weapons, and fighting are not allowed on campus. If you choose to break the law/rules, be advised that this may result in possible DAEP, citations, or other consequences.

EOC Labs/Prep Courses (Exámenes del Estado)

If you have not met standard on an EOC State Exam, you will be assigned an EOC Lab/Prep course for each EOC test you have not passed.

Cell Phone Policy (Celulares)

  • Don’t let it become a distraction from completing your school work
  • Each teacher has the discretion to decide when/if students are allowed phones in their classroom

Dress Code (Código de vestimenta)

  • Shirts cannot have alcohol, weapons, or drugs displayed
  • Shirts have to be long enough to cover your stomach, and at least 3 inch sleeves, pants cannot sag and show underwear
  • No pajamas, slippers, hats, no spandex or tight fitting leggings
